SmartIDcard Return Policy

SmartIDcard allows customer returns based on the policies of the original product manufacturer.

Customers should contact SmartIDcard Customer Relations at 866.343.5169 or e-mail at c_support@smartidcard.com to initiate a return or for additional information.

Unopened/Unused Items
If you have purchased an incorrect or unwanted item, you may return it within 30 days of receipt according to the following:

   * Product must be unopened, unused and factory sealed.
   * Product returns must include original packaging, boxes, instructions, etc.
   * Products must be shipped back to SmartIDcard freight pre-paid (customer pays for shipping).
   * A 15% restocking fee will be deducted from your credit.
   * Software cannot be returned for any reason.

Opened Items
We are unable to accept the return of the following 'opened' items:

   * Used printers unless pre-authorized by SmartIDcard.
   * Opened media such as cards, ribbons and/or printer cleaning kits.

Other
We are unable to accept the return of the following item.

       * Special order items.

Defective Merchandise (DOA)
If you received a product that is non-functioning or defective out of the packaging, please contact your Smartidcard Sale Associate to arrange for a return material authorization (RMA).

Return Procedures and Guidelines

  1. Contact your sales representative for an RMA number within 30 days of receipt of product.
  2. All returned packages and merchandise must be shipped to the following address.
  3. RMA numbers must be clearly marked on the return shipping address label:

     Smartidcard
     Attn: RMA # _________
     1153 Rue Bayonne
     Mandeville, LA 70471

     Please note that items returned to any other address will be subject to an additional shipping fee and/or surcharge. And for your safety, please use UPS/FedEx/DHL or another insured carrier that offers tracking capability.
  4. Products must be shipped back freight prepaid (customer pays for shipping).
  5. Items must be received within 15 days of issuance of RMA.
  6. All original packaging, instructions, etc., must be returned - unmarked and undamaged.
  7. Product must be ‘like new’ and factory sealed.
  8. We are not responsible for any merchandise that fails to arrive at our facility.
  9. Merchandise that arrives at our facility damaged cannot be accepted and will be returned to you.
 10. Credit will be issued to the original credit card or account holder after inspection. We do not give credit for shipping on the original order.
 11. SmartIDcard may amend the return policy guidelines at anytime.
